Compressed Loofah Sponges
They are an excellent eco-friendly alternative to plastic-based cleaners. They include a practical cotton strap for hanging and drying. They contain no glue (stitched with 100% cotton thread); the strap is also made of 100% cotton.
What is loofah? The loofah plant is a vine, and member of the cucumber family. If harvested early, the fruit of the loofah is edible. However, if the fruit is allowed to dry on the vine, its flesh disappears and leaves behind a fibre skeleton which can be further processed and used as a bathing or cleaning sponge.
How to use it:
Although it may appear thin at first, the loofah sponge expands when soaked in water and
becomes softer and more flexible.
Each loofah sponge should last for approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
Ensuring that the sponge is completely dry between each use, may extend its lifetime up
to 3 months.
If your household has high dishwashing demands, we recommend using 2 or 3 loofah
sponges on a rotation basis, to give them time to dry adequately between each use.
